Bound by Contract

So for some reason I was not tired tonight..... and decided to utilize that time to the fullest and make a teaser trailer for the film we did in SF (for the 48 film challenge)..... good use of my time....
13 MB!?!? Really!?..oh! Right!..ahahah... I made it 320X240.... that does make a difference.....

Ripping DVDs is a PAIN!

Right.. I think I need to new program... I actually have no idea what I'm doing, but whatever it is.. it's not working. I'm re-editing my brothers demo reel (adding a few new scenes), so I need to rip off said scene from the Cry Wolf DVD.... the audio is having fun toying with my nerves. Who wants to throw their computer across the room!? No takers?.....

Emergency!

A friend from school calls me last night asking if I could do a simple, nice arrangement of a tune called On the Wings of a Snow White Dove (apparently its a Country Gospel tune). The more important part here is who this is for: his good friend who is about to pass away.... and literally any day. So natually, I need to get this done ASAP! I spent till 2:30 am working on it, then finished it this morning..... 150 or so measures. If only writing original music was this simple, I'd be in much better shape!

Niveus

I have a piano and violin piece I'm working on (and should be done with it by Thursday.... that, or feel the wrath of Leo) And it's going to be on the composers concert....... so naturally.... it needs to be done ....and soon.
The debate I'm having right now is what to call it..... As of right now, it's: Niveus... "snowy" in Latin... which is what inspired the piece..... No other title comes to mind at the moment......... And I think I need to turn in my information to Steve tomorrow.......hmmmmmmmmmm

Composition being performed at Sonic Bloom

I've heard a few of my piece been performed before, but this will be the first that it is being performed at a composers conference. Interesting. It's for voice and piano...and sadly (for me at the moment) I didn't write the piano part in such a way that one could just sit down and sight read it. And frankly, I thought I would never play it myself. Ha! So here I am, accompanying a FABULOUS singer, and I'm completely making up notes. Truly, neither do I care nor mind....it's my music after all.... and the audience will not be the wiser.
We'll be leaving tomorrow at 7:00 am..... joy.
